A little history...
A Joyful Sound actually began as a lesson studio in 2005 called Notes by R. Neal. For several years, we were content to offer piano lessons to the greater Barstow area however, in about 2009, we saw a huge problem... the last music store in Barstow CLOSED!!! (gasp) Our little town was left with no music store and resorted to purchasing music supplies online (which meant waiting days for that much need guitar string) or driving 40 minutes to the nearest music store (to buy a reed that costs a fraction of the gas money it took to get there). There had to be a better way...
So in 2011 we began the process of starting a music store. After much research, renovations, and of lot of divine intervention, we opened A Joyful Sound Music Store in August of 2011! Although the learning curve has been intense and we've experienced a lot of trial and error - and still are ;) - we are proud to be BARSTOW'S OWN MUSIC STORE!
